COLLECTIONS SYSTEM
This automotive client was implementing an upgrade to a major software program used to track overdue accounts The software upgrade impacted approximately 900 users.
It was imperative that the associates be trained on the upgraded system so that the collections process would not be impacted at the time of implementation. The new application “went live” to all users on the same day, thus requiring user training for all employees within a very short time.
Web based training was the most effective solution to get the large number trained quickly. After employees took the course on the web site, an intense program of virtual training sessions provided learning reinforcement, review, and an opportunity to discuss issues and questions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Training was readily available and convenient, and many virtual sessions provided convenient times to all field offices.
The web based training and the virtual training sessions allowed training at users’ convenience and less time off the job. The company saved the cost of travel time and expenses for classroom training.
We improved the acceptability of the software among the users, and accelerated the payback from the software implementation, and made possible a “go live” date for all users simultaneously.
