VEHICLE ORDERING SYSTEM
This automotive client was implementing a $50 million multi-year core business system rollout replacing a 40 year old legacy system. The objective was to reduce vehicle ordering lead-time from 30 days to 3 days, allowing order decisions closer to production. This change improved the ability to respond to market conditions and provide dealers with a vehicle mix reflective of customer demand.
ISC’s training team of five worked on-site totally focused on rollout and on delivering classroom training on time.
The project involved a total change in the way vehicles would be ordered. Because this software program is critical to the client’s core business, it was imperative that the users be proficient on the new system and in new business processes with interrupting or delaying the ordering process.
ISC provided excellent pilot and classroom training, training manuals, job aids, by instructors who had been immersed in the system AND the business processes – on time and within budget. We improved the acceptability of the software among the users, assured that users were productive following training, and accelerated the payback from the software implementation.
